The Committee The committee is made up of volunteers dedicated to running a safe, enjoyable and inclusive Kayak and Canoe Club where new members are most welcome as are experienced paddlers. The club will run when the river conditions are generally calmer, from after Easter until autumn, if you are interested in joining the club or just want to meet us then please check out or follow us on Facebook to receive updates of our activities, opening time, and links to membership page/details. If you have any particular skills either as a coach or alternative skills and experience of running a club or organisation, we would also like to hear from you. We are also a registered charity and therefore always keen to hear of any fund raising or sponsorship opportunities that exist We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you. |

Paddle Sport Leader
Hi, My name is Sean.
I am a paddle sport leader for the SKCC and love helping out on and off the water on a wednesday night.
I joined the SKCC 9 years ago and have loved every moment of it. Whilst being at the club I have grown my skills and myself as a person. I have achieved multilple awards in both kayak and canoe to leader and safety rescue training with a list of things I still want to achieve.
I am passionate about touring and exploring the british waterways network using both kayak and canoe. You see everything from a fresh perspective and get to go places where no one else can get to on land.
I hope to see you at the club soon.

L1 Paddle Sport Coach
Hi! I'm Troy and I am a level 1 paddlesport instructor for Spelthorne Kayak and Canoe Club.
I have been paddling for nearly 9 years now and in that time I have achieved my 3 star canoe award and am currently a 3 star kayak aspirant. Although I have a soft spot for a relaxing paddle in a canoe out on the river, my favourite activity is whitewater paddling. I have had the opportunity to paddle rivers such as the Trewyrn, Dart and Dee and the thrill of taking on a rapid draws me back time and again. I have had the pleasure of
being mentored and coached by Derek Henzell and through seeing him coach other people over the years, I was inspired to become an instructor. In this role, I hope to pass on my knowledge and passion for paddlesports to other people and I want to take my coaching further in years to come.
See you on the water soon!
